Send a correction
One address, read by the people who write the pages. Corrections to figures are the most welcome kind of message, and a newer version of a document quoted here is the most useful thing you can send.
Where to write
[email protected] reaches the people who write the pages. There is no form on this site to fill in, no list to join and no account to make — an address is enough and it keeps your details out of anybody's database, including ours.
What a correction gets
If you can point at a figure that is wrong, name the page and the amount and, if you have it, the document that says otherwise. Every figure here is traceable to a line on a named source, which makes disagreements unusually easy to settle: either the source says what we said it says or it does not.
When a figure changes, four things move together — the module the pages read their numbers from, the FACTS file, the figures manifest the automated check reads, and the derivation script. The build refuses to complete if a drawing and the prose beside it disagree, which is deliberate: it is the only moment anybody is still paying attention.
Three things we cannot do
- Tell you what your treatment will cost. Nothing published anywhere holds that number; only a practice that has examined you can write it down.
- Tell you whether you need treatment, or which appliance to choose. Nobody here holds a dental licence, and no amount of reading fee schedules substitutes for an examination.
- Recommend a practice. This site names, ranks and links none, anywhere, and that is not negotiable for a correction, a complaint or a fee.
If something hurts
This desk is the wrong address for pain. Facial swelling, a temperature, trouble breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding or an injury to the mouth need urgent in-person care today — an emergency dental service, an urgent care service, or emergency services if breathing or swallowing is affected. Please do not wait on an email from us.
